Aurubis Bulgaria is a main partner of Academy "Innovation in Action"
Sofia, April 11, 2016. Today was launched the third edition of the Academy "Innovation in Action". The initiative of "Solvay Sodi" having a social character and aiming to invest in young people by expanding their knowledge and practical skills in creating innovative projects. This year the project is supported by Aurubis Bulgaria and Global Compact Network Bulgaria.
The third edition of "Innovation in Action" will select over 100 innovative young people who are willing to develop sustainable projects in the fields of technological and social innovations, healthy life and safety.
The event was attended by Tim Kurth - Executive Director of Aurubis Bulgaria, Spyros Nomikos - Executive Director of "Solvay Sodi", Ognian Trayanov - Chairman of the Global Compact Bulgarian network and a member of the jury, and the founder of The Business Institute Mrs. Tsvetelina Teneva.

We believe that "Innovation in Action" is a successful program where people talk about innovations and scientific achievements in an understandable and attractive way. One of the main priorities of the social responsibility strategy of Aurubis Bulgaria has always been supporting projects related to education. This is the main reason, why the company supports young people by giving them the opportunity to acquire knowledge and potential for future development in Bulgaria.", said Tim Kurth during the event.
The Academy is in progress since 2013 and under the motto "Make the world better." The Academy is open to all students or graduates, with obtained diploma in the past five years, to everyone who has an interest in the field of practical innovation. The character of the program is competitive and the ideas that would be evaluated need to be sustainable, as well as innovative they should contribute to the economic and social development of our society.
The aim of the academy is to build understanding, knowledge and skills for sustainable innovations in the participants, to increase the motivation and confidence for their realization, as well as to receive support and expertise in presenting their ideas.
All participants will go through a series of free trainings, where they will develop the knowledge and skills for sustainable innovation.
During the academy they will receive an expert opinion by mentors and lecturers practitioners.
The prestigious jury will select the best three projects, which will receive the special educational prizes - free participation in the summer program at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management in Brussels and Master in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Finance in Bulgaria.
The three proposals evaluated by the jury with the highest scores will be announced at the official ceremony, which will take place in early 2017.
